DARREN VIZER - Principal Instructor

As Pilates practitioner he was drawn to teaching the Pilates Method as a means of keeping his own body conditioned for his performance career, leading him to study Pilates with some of the best-trained instructors in Australia.

He attained the Advance Diploma in Pilates Practice (91490NSW) and the status of Principal Trainer, full member of PAA which inspired him to establish his studio Mr Pilates in 2006 currently in Port Melbourne Victoria, affiliated with National Pilates Training in Melbourne, currently mentoring their current core students. Darren enjoys teaching a full body Pilates challenge, sharing his knowledge and giving the whole, rich experience of Pilates.

SAMM HAGEN - Pilates instructor

Samm is excited to be on the Mr Pilates team. She received her Diploma of Professional Pilates Instruction mid-2018 through PITC.

She completed her diploma while singing and dancing full-time as ‘Pat’ n Kinky Boots The Musical. Since graduating, Samm has taught both Matwork and Studio Pilates in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane while touring as a performer. Her last stage performance was in Priscilla: Queen Of The Desert as one of the three high-flying ‘Divas’. When she is not performing in a major musical, she is a voice and dance teacher, holding classes and workshops across Australia.

I enjoy watching the improvement of my clients, not only physically but mentally. Observing positive change is a brilliant thing! I also really enjoy helping others, and Pilates is the perfect platform for me to do so. I am constantly trying to learn new things about the method and pass that on to my clients. I am also (gently!) pushing my clients to gain a better understanding of the Pilates method through movement and mental practice. You can always get something new out of Pilates! A simple, clear, hands-on approach to the work is best.
